Be Inspired..!!

Self – Doubt plaques us all. It’s only natural to question ourselves from time to time. But when you continually let it stop you doing or saying the things you know you should, it becomes a mental barrier to gaining self-confidence.

  1. Deal with the Voice – Ask yourself, when was the last time someone questioned your opinion? When were you last wrong? Often, when I ask this question to people who doubt themselves, there’s a silence. They can’t think of a situation. it’s irrational to make the assumption you’re wrong if you can’t remember it happening before. So, prepare yourself for the voice that will try to stop you. If you are aware that the “voice” if waiting to hijack you, You’ll be in a stronger position to stop it. Be super-aware the next time you sense self-doubt creeping in, and then literally exclude the voice. Do not allow it…

    1. I do. But I will feel worse if I still let the future opportunity leave. Let bygones be bygones Amandeep. When the past knocks it has nothing new to say.

    1. Thank you. I am glad you liked it. I love hearing people argue that disorganization is a sign of genius and a messy schedule, desk or work life is “creative”. That’s crazy. First, you’re probably not a genius, and being scatterbrained and disorganized is not a “creative work”, no matter how you spin it. Speaking of creative, some of the most creative minds take this “routine” thing to the uber-extreme. Rumor has it that the likes of Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg go as far as wearing the same outfit every day to help them focus on the more important tasks at hand. The point is, having a routine and plan will help you succeed in what matters, and miss less opportunities for positive work.

      1. I agree every point you made. I can’t think when my work space and my space at home is disorganized. I was taught that what’s going on in the outside is a reflection of the chaos in peoples life and mind.

      2. Yes. The mind isn’t going to stop thinking. The goal of mindfulness isn’t to suppress thinking, but to surpass it.

    1. I am glad you liked it Kavya. Every single thing you do, should be asked the same questions. Does it create value in my life? Value for others? Is it necessary for my daily survival? Do I have a choice? Should I be doing something else instead? You get the drift, and there’s other questions I’m missing of course, but the POINT of this exercise, by the way, is to identify if you’re missing out on opportunities or other activities, because you’re putting mindless or unnecessary activities as a higher priority. I hate to say it but so many of the “I’m busy” complainers, aren’t that busy, they just waste a lot of time.
