    1. The potassium in banana peel is rumored to fight HPV. However, no research links potassium to the treatment of warts or viral skin infections. There also isn’t scientific evidence that banana peels fight HPV. If you want to try it, rub the inside of a banana peel on the wart. I am glad you found the post informative.

  5. This is wonderful list of benefits. I haven’t tried them except in the garden.
I put cut up banana peels in the dirt around my tomato plants and roses. It does wonders.

    1. Ah yes Shobhna. Thank you for reminding us another benefit of Banana Peel. Banana peels contain nutrients that are essential for healthy potted plants. However, they don’t contain everything your plant needs. As they decompose, banana peels add potassium as well as small amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus and magnesium to the soil in a similar fashion as a slow-release fertilizer.

    1. Recycling reduces the need for extracting (mining, quarrying and logging), refining and processing raw materials all of which create substantial air and water pollution. As recycling saves energy it also reduces greenhouse gas emissions, which helps to tackle climate change.

    1. Ah yes. A wide variety of health benefits are associated with the curvy yellow fruit. Bananas are high in potassium and pectin, a form of fiber, said Laura Flores, a San Diego-based nutritionist. They can also be a good way to get magnesium and vitamins C and B6.
Bananas are known to reduce swelling, protect against developing Type 2 diabetes, aid in weight loss, strengthen the nervous system and help with production of white blood cells, all due to the high level of vitamin B6 that bananas contain. And the list continues …
