In order to grasp the significant of beauty as one of the faces of intention, remember this : Beautiful thoughts build a beautiful soul. As you become receptive to seeing and feeling beauty around you, you’re becoming attuned to the creative power of intention within everything in the natural world, including yourself. By choosing to see beauty in everything, even a person who was born into poverty and ignorance will be able to experience the power of intention. Seeking beauty in the worst of circumstances with individual intent connects one to the power of intention. It works. It has to work. The face of beauty is always present, even where others see non-beauty.

Viktor Frankl in this book, Man’s Search for Meaning, describes a bowl of filthy water with a fish head floating in it, given to him by his Nazi captors in a concentration camp during WWII. He trained himself to see beauty in this meal, rather than focus on the horror of it. He attributes his ability to see beauty anywhere as a vital factor in surviving those horrific camps. He reminds us that if we focus on what’s ugly, we attract more ugliness into our thoughts, and then into our emotions, and ultimately into our lives. By choosing to hang on to one’s corner of freedom even in the worst situations, we can process our wools with the energy of appreciation and beauty, and create an opportunity to transcend our circumstances.

    1. The more I fill my mind with God’s word, positivity, and life-giving words, I am developing a different standard for my own thoughts, for any thoughts, but my thoughts are the only ones I can control. I am overwhelmed with the realization of how important every thought is. They matter. I know we all deal with the thoughts that pop into our heads. That happens to us all. But the great thing to remember is that while our thoughts control us, we control our thoughts. We have a tendency to think that we are “just the way we are”, and that we cannot be changed, that our thoughts are what they are and that they are not changeable. Just because we have a negative thought does not mean we have to entertain it. We can stop it. We can replace it with something good. Over time, this changes us in some really big ways. We cannot do it once or twice, and say that it didn’t work. We have to do it every day over a period of time.

      1. The positivity in you is reflected by the words you write and the way you weave them. It is so peaceful to read your writings.
Thank you for sharing the positivity.
Change is one thing we should accept. As being humans, we change daily. Every cell in us changes. Its the rigidity of the mind constructed by the outside world which keeps are thoughts chained.
Thank you for the insightful comment. 🙂

      2. Thank you Kritika for such kinds words. Change is painful. We need to ask ourselves “How do you want to feel?” or “Who am I?” Those are good places to start.

    1. Set intentions at the start. When you start your day, or any meaningful activity, check in with yourself and ask what your intentions are for the day or that activity. Do you want to be more present? Do you want to move your mission forward? Do you want to be compassionate with your loved ones? Do you want to practice with discomfort and not run to comfort? Set an intention (or three) and try to hold that intention as you move through the day or that meaningful activity.

    1. Thoughts become things when they are given substance with feelings in the Mind. Thoughts are the DNA of the Universe. They contain the information that gives form to our physical life experience. Without feeling or substance, we would not be able to perceive the thoughtforms in our Mind.

    1. Thank you. All of us are giving substance, or feeling, to the thoughtform of money every day. For some, this feeling is “not enough” or “money is a source of evil”. The words “not enough” or “evil” are also thoughtforms, but they are given substance in the Mind with fear by almost everyone.

When we give substance to the thoughtform of money with fear based feelings we create physical life experiences involving money that are also given substance with feelings of anger, frustration and anxiety. It doesn’t matter how much money we have or don’t have, it will never feel like it’s enough. Or we might get rid of it because it feels evil to us.

On the other hand, when we give substance to the thoughtform of money with Love based feelings like gratitude and well being then our physical life experience with money will also be given substance with those feelings. When we spend or receive money, we feel grateful. Whatever amount of money we have, whether it’s a little or a lot, we experience feelings of well being.

    1. Like attracts like. If we think and speaks positive thoughts and feelings, we will attract only those. Yes sometimes this has to be done at the cost of being unrealistic as per normal standards. But for our subconscious, nothing is unrealistic, is it Kellie. Wouldn’t you agree?

  3. Victor Frankl’s example is absolutely remarkable and when I am honest, just so hard to fathom. 💔 But I imagine it was a daily, often moment by moment choice to seek beauty and gratitude in every moment, whereby so many sink into despair. I often wonder how the heart of those suffering from fathomable horrors survive. Equally as often do I wonder who I would be. I am discovering that every.single.day I have a choice in how I respond. Thank you so much for this beautiful and powerful post. ❤️

    1. Take each moment..not even day. Ask yourself at any moment…how do I want to feel? Where Am I right now? For example, meditation, yoga and breathing exercises or even a hike in the woods can be perceived as a calming trigger by the intestinal microbiology, which will deliver a message of peace and calm to the brain, central nervous system and, ultimately, every cell of the body.
