Welcome to the Daily Dose of Self Love. This series will be about self love, self care, self esteem and self worth. Basically everything related with SELF. My aim with this series is to give you a daily boost of self love and self care. We all get busy with our lives and sometimes it leaves us less or no time to take time for ourselves, be with ourselves, wash off all the negativity that we accumulated during the day with self love, meditation, etc. The daily boost will be in an easy to understand and more importantly something which is relatable. So Welcome!!

Self Love Practice Tip #9

When you start in self love, wanting to love yourself more is not enough to create that to happen. It’s not that easy, we need to do the work, we need to take action, we need to focus on certain things. You need to understand that loving yourself is a journey and not necessarily linear, it’s to like one day you are going to wake up and have perfect levels of self acceptance and self love. Remind yourself on bad days that you are moving forwards always. Ups and downs are normal. Self love is not being arrogant. It is good to love yourself, to be confident, to be compassionate to yourself. Maybe from a young age you were told to not be a show off, don’t be full of yourself, you should be modest, you should’t be bragging. In some ways it’s a nice thing but it can also backfire and go the other way if you start thinking that being kind to yourself and being arrogant to yourself is wrong.

There is a difference between arrogance and self love. Arrogance is having a point to prove, a need to display how amazing your are, how clever you are or how wealthy you are in order to get approval from other people. Arrogance comes when you don’t love yourself and when you are not comfortable in your own skin. Healthy self love is really about accepting yourself as an imperfect human being but as a someone who is intrinsically worthy and a good person and also knowing that you deserve good things and be nice to yourself. Feeling that sense of peace from accepting yourself is self love.

Hope this helps. Come back tomorrow for more self love tips.

      3. Exactly, you are initiating thoughts within a person and creating that concept to be known in their subconscious at least. 🙏
