Daily Dose of Self Love

Welcome to the Daily Dose of Self Love. This series will be about self love, self care, self esteem and self worth. Basically everything related with SELF. My aim with this series is to give you a daily boost of self love and self care. We all get busy with our lives and sometimes it leaves us less or no time to take time for ourselves, be with ourselves, wash off all the negativity that we accumulated during the day with self love, meditation, etc. The daily boost will be in an easy to understand and more importantly something which is relatable. So Welcome!!

Self Love Practice Tip #43

In today’s post we will continue our talk on learning to embrace pictures taken of you. We all have been talked about negatively in our photos and it hurts at first ofcourse, but then think how petty it was for that person to say something like that. That shouldn’t stop you from positing fabulous pictures. You still have the right to live your life. Embrace your photos, whether you hire a professional photographer or take selfies, all is well. If you have the time and the money, schedule a photo shoot with a professional photographer, believe me, this will boost your self confidence in a large way. Love your family photos no matter how weird they are because they will be the most cherished memories you will have of your loved ones. Photos are also a great way to remember who you are, it is an amazing grounding anchor in life. Photos tell you how far you have come in life. It is a good time to self reflect on your journey. Don’t allow the diet culture garbage to make you feel that you are unworthy of a photo because it is what it is..garbage thought. Don’t allow these companies to take your memories and your loved ones memories.

So take out that camera and SMILE!!

Hope this helped. Come back tomorrow for more self love inspiration.

Photos tilt your memories toward the good experiences you’ve had, simply because you’re more likely to take photos of joyful times. That’s important, because due to a phenomenon known as “negativity bias,” it’s easier to recall bad times than good ones. Having snapshots of the latter keeps them vivid in our minds.
