Welcome to the Daily Dose of Self Love. This series will be about self love, self care, self esteem and self worth. Basically everything related with SELF. My aim with this series is to give you a daily boost of self love and self care. We all get busy with our lives and sometimes it leaves us less or no time to take time for ourselves, be with ourselves, wash off all the negativity that we accumulated during the day with self love, meditation, etc. The daily boost will be in an easy to understand and more importantly something which is relatable. So Welcome!!

Self Love Practice Tip #97

In today’s post we will talk about how to feel comfortable in your own skin. We all want to feel better about how we look. It could be in general about our physique or it could be about a particular body part. In this new series we will learn about how to get comfortable in your own skin but also why we feel bad about certain body parts. As young people we are always told that beauty is something that we all should attain and maintain. I mean think of how many commercials you see of anti aging products to get rid of your wrinkles. There is a craze about maintaining your youth and beauty. All men and women feel negative about their body. Believe me, if you have someone whom you look upto when you think of good body, walk upto them and ask them if they feel negatively about any body part and 99% they will say “yes”. So you are not alone. Everyone has some or the other insecurities or obsession about how they look. The media objectifies the human body so much for feeling their products and programs that we all get conscious about it instead of focusing on our strengths, goals and passions. Always remember we are people first and body second. It is so important to get to that understanding because it is pretty crazy to get carried away with what people think about us. All bodies are beautiful. Let’s remain in this momentum of body positivity.

Come back tomorrow for more inspiration.

    1. Glad you liked the post Carol. By becoming more comfortable in our own skin (through such practices as yoga, relaxation techniques, massage) we give full rein to our proprioceptive senses. They in turn increase our ability to understand ourselves and how we interact with our environment. That increases our joy in life.
