To really be successful one needs to tough with themselves. We need to be self disciplined by mind and heart. Without self-discipline, you will not be in a position to complete your personal and professional functions, manage time well, handle people well, persist through tough times, take care of your health etc.
By being tough with yourself, you will begin to handle yourself more deliberately, on your own terms rather than reacting to life the way a leaf is floating in a stream without any direction.
Effective, satisfied and fulfilled people do not spend their time doing what is most convenient and comfortable; rather they have the courage to listen to their heart and do those wise things which make them great. ‘The successful person has the habit of doing those things failures don’t like to do,” – E.M. Gray. By their disliking is subordinated to the strength of their purpose.” The most valuable result of all education is the ability to make yourself do all that you have to do, when it ought to be done, whether you like it or not. THIS IS THE MARK OF A GREAT PERSON.
Take your daily habits to a brand new levels. Build, do and persist on those brave acts in order to become a brave person. When you start being tough on yourself, you will feel uncomfortable and the more you are uncomfortable, you feel comfortable later. Be so uniquely tough on yourself that the Providence ultimately gives you the strength to make that habit so ingrained in your thought and act.
EVERYTHING IS HARD BEFORE IT BECOMES EASIER.
