I like this. It is so true in many, many ways. I have always believed in the concept that the journey is often as fulfilling as arriving at the destination. In fact, it is often greater.
I used to lecture on wellbeing for the elderly (as I now am) and I used to use the analogy of a ladder and goal setting. If one takes each step on the ladder as a destination in itself, and by taking one step at a time and treating it as such, you will arrive at the final destination having already reached several mini destinations on the way. The real satisfaction is often in the journey itself, usually by successfully overcoming any obstacles as you climb the ladder The sense of satisfaction of getting there is always worth the struggle..
