I am an unrealistic Optimist….??!!….Yes I am and I am proud of it. I get ridiculed often times (actually all the time) and my dear ones try to protect me in any way possible from going overboard in my thoughts and actions. So, from the normal reality of my present life to what one should do to live in this society, such realities are pushed into my brain in a hope that sense would prevail and I would (like everyone else) get into the mode of living a “normal sane life”and tread the path that many before me have followed. But then that little voice inside me, that spark of creativity playfully like a child smiles and tells me “We will make it one day,Girl!! Hold on!!.

I know you must be thinking, “Yea, we got the voice too but we got to go to work tomorrow & everyday for the good part of our lives, work hard, earn money, pay off loans, and dream of a brighter future for our kids”. Well, I say I am no different, I will go to work too, juggle with people, spring in a new idea to my boss and try to get a raise. But hey, how long can you really keep up with that?! Be honest to yourself if not to anyone else.

We all have an alter reality, a creativity which keeps on reminding us of “what ifs?”. No, they aren’t distractions, they are who we really are!!

Now, I am not saying give up your jobs and pursue your passions. We are all scared of doing something different, of…failing..but we are missing out on the experiences our creativity has to offer. Don’t give up on it! Pursue it everyday in any tiny way possible. Nothing is impossible until we give up on it. Make SMART goals for your passions too. Who knows where they will lead us. Have courage, have patience, have faith.

  5. For me right now, when everything is just so mundane, my blog and writing cards/letters to my loved ones are ways I can carve out creative space. But it’s good to remember that creativity is also simply looking at things in a new way, so we can be creative in our day jobs too! Thanks for the encouragement!

They really are! Just like when someone negative is around you just feel that weight! That has been the first goal in trying to truly find myself, get rid of the negative people… So far it’s really changed my outlook, and how I fell.

  12. You are right! 2 and a half years ago (I am 41 now) I just left society. I finally saw who I was and what society is. And when you see it is easy. Then I was rich but I gave everything away, all my money and just left the house without even bothering to sell.it. Now I am free and live a beautiful life just helping people and asking food and a bed in return. Live in the here and now and try to be aware of myself and be happy every single second!

I am still learning a lot about myself so I don’t go to deep on my blog cause I haven’t figured so many things out, but one thing is for sure: This is my path, for me the only one……
Love your blog by the way and how you shine your light onto the world!

Just did that again. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts with me. Really appreciate it.

    1. Ah I am so happy you believe in that too. We all have responsibilities and miles to run before we start our second innings with our passion. But till then each day is a “present” and we can use this present to enjoy our passions while we can.

  16. Allan Watts used to say, “If money weren’t a problem, what would you do?” and I wholeheartedly agree with him. Getting stuck into a routine of a job we do only to pay the bills, while feeling jaded at the end of the day, without having the strength of pursuing the things that elevate the meaning of our life… that’s living hell.

We should have schools that teach people how to be happy first.

  35. Optimists are like Spring and vacations! Not many resist and most people adore it, follow it, welcome it and love to bathe in it daily! They lift spirits up and inspire others! They are the trend of today! Very few leaders make it without being optimistic.
I am more a realist, that often and easily visits being a pessimist, who at times despises optism, but also finds the most peace and joy being there…but only as a realist. 🙂
Who doesn’t love a optimist! Even I enjoy reading optimistic stories and encouragement! This one was especially uplifting! I especially like the realist part of purusing your dreams! 🙂 Those dreams of being creative are who we really are. Loved that part! Just dying to come out us! Yes! Yes!

  43. There are more ways to be creative than there are days in any lifetime. We seek and find a particular gift and want to focus on it as much as possible, but in between there are ways to express that inner need by doing something in a new way or creating even a tiny spot of beauty or seeing a new way to share a moment of kindness.
And the most important talent, no matter what our gifts are, is perseverance.
Hooray for you using your creativity to encourage others to use theirs! 🙂
