Welcome to the Daily Dose of Self Love. This series will be about self love, self care, self esteem and self worth. Basically everything related with SELF. My aim with this series is to give you a daily boost of self love and self care. We all get busy with our lives and sometimes it leaves us less or no time to take time for ourselves, be with ourselves, wash off all the negativity that we accumulated during the day with self love, meditation, etc. The daily boost will be in an easy to understand and more importantly something which is relatable. So Welcome!!

Self Love Practice Tip #85

In today’s post we will talk on how to stop comparing yourself to others. Follow account or people who bring you value and accountability. I think the biggest reason why I am look into the mirror at myself with complete confidence about my body is because I began following accounts and people who have similar journeys like mine. There are many body positive influencers out there who will give you confidence that you can look cute in any outfit irrespective of what you body type is. Start looking at your body in a positive light than in a negative light. You don’t have to be disgusted about yourself. Loved your cellulite, love your sags. They are beautiful just like you. If you are having trouble looking into the mirror then follow accounts or people who look like you because then you are going to see your body in a positive light. You should also follow people and accounts with positive mindsets. They will help you get motivated. They will help you get into a better mindset of thinking. Start thinking in a positive way and looking at yourself in a positive way.

Come back tomorrow to know more about comparing yourself to others.

While self-love is something you can work on internally and encourage others to practice, body positivity means being an ally to those with marginalized bodies, calling out body privilege when you see it, and challenging preconceived notions about the validity of people’s bodies.

When considering self-love in relation to body positivity, there are a few basic starting points that many of us are already doing or trying to achieve on a daily basis. Getting better sleep, eating healthier, and exercising regularly all illustrate physical ways to take on self-love.
