Welcome to the Daily Dose of Self Love. This series will be about self love, self care, self esteem and self worth. Basically everything related with SELF. My aim with this series is to give you a daily boost of self love and self care. We all get busy with our lives and sometimes it leaves us less or no time to take time for ourselves, be with ourselves, wash off all the negativity that we accumulated during the day with self love, meditation, etc. The daily boost will be in an easy to understand and more importantly something which is relatable. So Welcome!!
Self Love Practice Tip #83
In today’s post we will talk on how to stop comparing yourself to others. First off, unfollow any social media accounts which make you feel bad about yourself. Do it. Specially those account which make us feel absolutely inadequate. You unfollow, block or delete, whichever works best for you. Social media can be a blessing or a curse. Depending on how to control what you are viewing and how you are interpreting it with regards to comparing yourself to others. It is so easy to scroll through Instagram and start comparing your life instead of looking at others for motivation and inspiration, specially if you are having an off day or a bad day and you feel like you not enough. And then you scroll through Instagram and see these accounts. They make you feel worse about yourself and it is such a bad circle if you get stuck in that mindset. My favourite social media outlet is Instagram and it is probably worse in terms of comparing yourself in terms of others. Since Instagram is all about eye catching photos and captions, it is all about being extra and captivating right. Therefore when we follow certain accounts, we may feel that we may not be doing much with our lives, we feel broke and just bad about our appearances. Comparing yourself to others in anyway will automatically without a doubt give a blow to your self esteem.
Come back tomorrow to know more about comparing yourself to others.
