Daily Dose of Self Love

Welcome to the Daily Dose of Self Love. This series will be about self love, self care, self esteem and self worth. Basically everything related with SELF. My aim with this series is to give you a daily boost of self love and self care. We all get busy with our lives and sometimes it leaves us less or no time to take time for ourselves, be with ourselves, wash off all the negativity that we accumulated during the day with self love, meditation, etc. The daily boost will be in an easy to understand and more importantly something which is relatable. So Welcome!!

Self Love Practice Tip #102

In today’s post we will continue to talk about how to feel comfortable in your own skin. You should become aware of the fact that it is not about you but it is about the way the shitty part of society came up with self objectification and you are more than just your looks. I am aware more than I was earlier and I still catch myself self objectifying in a very natural way. This is not to say that women should not feel beautiful and attractive or wear makeup or wear sexy lingerie (there isn’t enough lingerie options for men anyways), that is not treated as self objectification. There is a difference between appreciating a women’s body and telling them they are beautiful than objectifying them to be used and thrown away or an excuse for men to rape women. This difference needs to be understood. What I am saying is that if women in the society are constantly treated as an object which lot of women are and that’s why they get into the shitty relationships with people and forget their wants and needs and its all what the man desires and at the end of the day they are left with nothing and that is when it becomes a problem. When you are viewing yourself as not just an object but as a person with dreams, goals, wants and needs, that is when you are being true to yourself. So this is not about wearing makeup or beautiful dresses, it is about making sure that you are not being treated strongly or just plainly as an object. That’s pretty much it.

Come back tomorrow for more inspiration.

  1. Yes, yes, I was only talking about this the other day, ended up feeling so frustrated. Women aren’t objects. Thank you, thank you for your eloquence!
