If you need me I’ll be at my desk. If you need me I’ll be staring out the window waiting for the trees to tell me something. If you need me I’ll be sitting here waiting for the other shoe to drop. If you need me I’ll be here strategising how I can solve all the undecided things in my life in one afternoon. If you need me I’ll be going over every wrong decision I’ve ever made, which is to say, if you need me I’ll be swimming in a giant pool of existential dread of may own making. If you need me I’ll be fussing with the books and the way my sweaters are folded to make it feel like I’m crossing something of this proverbial to-do list. If you need me I’ll be siting here thinking of what I could say that might help. If you need me I’ll be, realistically checking my phone to see if anyone wants to talk, wants tot tell me I am good, wants to tell me they want to be around me, wants to share something that will crack the code. If you need me I’ll probably be thinking about my body again and thinking about how I don’t want to think about my body this much. If you need me I’ll be wondering about everyone’s loneliness. If you need me I’ll be wondering about everyone’s secret dreams. and how far down they’re tucked away. If you need me I’ll be thinking about how much we all need each other and don’t know how to say it. If you need me I’ll be here.
