Perhaps you’ve lived this moment before. Perhaps you’re seeing yourself at a distance, as never before. Anomalous experiences are real and life-changing. That doesn’t mean they occur outside your own head. Chances are, at some point in your life, you’ve felt someone staring at you. Maybe you were at the grocery store. Maybe walking along the sidewalk. Maybe sitting on a bus. And sure enough, when you turned your head to look, the suspect’s eyes met yours. You just had an anomalous experience. This is your sixth sense.
What are the benefits of honing your sixth sense?
- You improve your radar for reading people.
- You have more clarity for making big decisions.
- You feel more connected with your sense of life purpose and greater meaning of the universe.
Daily Activities to Expand Your Sixth Sense
- Meditate – Meditation clears out your mental clutter and helps you think more clearly. It also strengthens your sense of intuition.
- Listen to Your Body – Does your body clench up when you see someone’s name on your cell phone and your body’s signals are one way your sixth sense communicates with you.
- Ask Questions Before Going to Sleep – Consciously give your dream logic permission to help you with your big life questions.
- Keep a Dream Journal or Coincidence Journal – The subconscious is a very important part of your sixth sense. Pay attention to its symbols.
Exercises to Practice Your Sixth Sense
- Exercise 1 – You will need two opaque containers and two very different objects. Place the objects in separate containers and close the lids. Switch the position of the containers until you don’t know which is which. Without lifting the containers, touch the outside of each box and practice listening to your intuition to guess correctly what is in each box.
- Exercise 2 – You will need three index cards and a writing utensil. On each index card, write three different options for a life question you are pondering. For example, you might wan to know, “What should I do with my current job?”. Place the cards face down, mix up the order, and see which card has the most gravitational pull for your hand to pickup.
- Exercise 3 – You will need your imagination. Anytime you want an intuitive answer to a question (yes/no), imagine the colour of a stoplight when you ask the question in your head. Which colour lights up the most naturally without you thinking about it?
