If you’re anything like us, you’re constantly finding stray bobby pins in between your couch cushions, at the bottom of your purse, and possibly in your hair. The good thing is they’re a pretty handy tool when you’re in a bind. Don’t believe us? Check out all the things you can do with them below.
- Push up the unused toothpaste in your toothpaste tube.
- Zipper pull replacement
- DIY paper clip/chip bag clip.
- DIY bookmark.
- Secure loose end of your belt.
- Mark end of clear tape roll.
- Hold nail in place to avoid accidentally hammering fingers.
- Press reset button in small electronic devices (use thin bobby pins).
- Emergency pants hem.
- Pit cherries/Ripe olives.
- Open plastic seal on food jars.
- Hold down end of yarn ball.
- Clothes spin for light weight articles of clothing.
- Pin ornaments to xmas tree.
- Nail art tool. Perfect for polka dots.
A few of these I knew, the others will be good to remember.

Bobby pins are like the Swiss army knives of the beauty world. These little tools serve many purposes — and not just for fixing your hair.

Squeeze Out Toothpaste. Never waste a drop of toothpaste again with this clever trick: Secure a bobby pin on the end of the tube, then slide it up to push all remaining product toward the opening. Now your almost-empty toothpaste should last a few extra days!
