Welcome to the Daily Dose of Self Love. This series will be about self love, self care, self esteem and self worth. Basically everything related with SELF. My aim with this series is to give you a daily boost of self love and self care. We all get busy with our lives and sometimes it leaves us less or no time to take time for ourselves, be with ourselves, wash off all the negativity that we accumulated during the day with self love, meditation, etc. The daily boost will be in an easy to understand and more importantly something which is relatable. So Welcome!!
Self Love Practice Tip #10
A lot of self help books and coaches will agree that the root of most of the problems in our lives is lack of self love. Like take for instance, anxiety, if you don’t like yourself or love yourself, you are going to beating yourself up, you are not going to take care of yourself, you are not going to have that belief in your abilities and it will cause you a lot of anxiety and a lot of worry potentially. If you think about depression and get to the root of what depression is, it is often a sense of un-worthiness or not being good enough. Having made big mistakes doesn’t make you a failure, it makes you a gutsy person who had the balls to at-least try something. Only someone who is swimming in self love can understand this. So it all comes down to lack of self love. Let’s look at people with addiction. Lack of self love makes them depend on or look out for support and validation outside of themselves, whereas all they needed to do was look inside. All they needed was a sense of love within themselves.
You giving yourself a hard time does not actually benefit anyone. If you are putting everyone else before yourself and not taking care of yourself, stressed and resentful, anxious, unloved, you won’t get anything out of it. You help people the most when you take care of yourself first. Let me re-iterate again, self love is not selfish. Dalai Lama, says “The Purpose of Live is to be happy“. Once you are in a good place, happy and peaceful within yourself, automatically you spread those good vibes and happiness to people around you.
Hope this helps. Come back tomorrow for more self love tips.

Many of us could find countless ways to complete the sentence, โIโll be happy when. . .โ. Once Iโm in a relationship. If I get a promotion. After I move to a different city or buy that house or take that vacation. Too often we view happiness as conditionalโsomething we achieve through external events and goods. If and when we attain these things, we think, then weโll be happy.
Though these conditions may positively impact our lives, no external factor will truly determine our happiness. We need to look inward for that.
Itโs neither easy nor always comfortable, but happiness is largely a decision. Itโs a choice we consistently practice making, a process informed by inner work. And self-compassion offers an approach to this work. Research shows that those who show themselves compassion are happier than those who do not.

Couldn’t agree more….we always tend to set a condition achieving which will give us happiness we assume…how foolish indeed when all the world’s happiness lies right inside us and all we need to do is tap this secret treasure and be truly happy. ๐๐
