Welcome to the Daily Dose of Self Love. This series will be about self love, self care, self esteem and self worth. Basically everything related with SELF. My aim with this series is to give you a daily boost of self love and self care. We all get busy with our lives and sometimes it leaves us less or no time to take time for ourselves, be with ourselves, wash off all the negativity that we accumulated during the day with self love, meditation, etc. The daily boost will be in an easy to understand and more importantly something which is relatable. Self Love Practice Tip #11
Self love is a journey. It is not something that can be achieved once and then tossed in the corner and checked off from your To Do list. Self love needs to be practised daily. I don’t completely love myself most of the time, but I have made tremendous progress over the last few years. I am not perfect and I do not let that be a source of me giving myself a hard time. We need to believe that change is possible. If you can believe that you can change, the chances of making the change massively increase. So the belief that change is possible is incredibly important. Remember that you were born with a lot of self love. Babies are born with extremely high self esteem. They instinctively know that they are worthy and are valuable. If you feel you are not worth anything or do not have any value then know that this is learned behaviour. It is the programming that we have all absorbed in our lives particularly in our childhoods. This can create a lot of negative thoughts, feelings and behaviours for potentially all of our lives lest we start to take some action to change that. Perhaps you now have an idea where that idea of lack of self love came from. Ponder over them. We will more about it tomorrow.
