Self Love Practice Tip #59
Today we will continue to talk about intuitive eating. You have to learn and trust the process. The only people who need to diet are those who have health issues or certain athletes. If your goal is to lose weight or manage your weight, learning how to eat properly without restricting will give you those benefits because your eating habits will become better. As with anything, I talk about this as a journey. No you will not get everything right at the start but if you persevere and persist, you will get the desired results. You have to fight your diet police voice which is in your head, making you feeling ashamed about eating certain foods. You will feel like going back to dieting but your aim should be to know your body and yourself. I am going through it and it is specially hard when diet culture is all around you. You feel like just going back and join in, sometimes you even feel like an outcast eating food regardless of labelling the food as good or bad. But I believe that this approach is very healthy and it is teaching people to eat and nourish their bodies instead of thinking that they constantly need to be on this diet journey which is really marketing by companies so that you buy their program or product.
