Welcome to the Daily Dose of Self Love. This series will be about self love, self care, self esteem and self worth. Basically everything related with SELF. My aim with this series is to give you a daily boost of self love and self care. We all get busy with our lives and sometimes it leaves us less or no time to take time for ourselves, be with ourselves, wash off all the negativity that we accumulated during the day with self love, meditation, etc. The daily boost will be in an easy to understand and more importantly something which is relatable. So Welcome!!
Self Love Practice Tip #94
In today’s post we will continue to talk about how to hush your inner critic. People who put other people down are already beneath them. A happy person who if confident, smart and caring and kind would never ever put anybody else down. I can never imagine calling somebody stupid or worthless even in an argument. It is definitely not who I am anymore. When I was younger and some body I knew really pissed me off I would call them an “asshole”. Yes, sorry but it was one of my common rude things to say. But now I have stopped swearing, I swear. So go through and which is the hard part to identify, all the negative things that you say about yourself to get even get more specific from where they come from. Another way of winning over your inner critic is to name the critic. Identify thee nasty voice and give it a name. Name it whatever will make you remember to stop feeding into that next time you hear that kind of voice. So when that voice occurs trying to make you insecure, tell the voice “Please <the name you choose>, I don’t have time for this today and your negative comments because I believe in myself and I don’t want to regret not trying so can you please keep quiet”. There, try it, it works.
Come back tomorrow for more inspiration.
