Daily Dose of Self Love

Welcome to the Daily Dose of Self Love. This series will be about self love, self care, self esteem and self worth. Basically everything related with SELF. My aim with this series is to give you a daily boost of self love and self care. We all get busy with our lives and sometimes it leaves us less or no time to take time for ourselves, be with ourselves, wash off all the negativity that we accumulated during the day with self love, meditation, etc. The daily boost will be in an easy to understand and more importantly something which is relatable. So Welcome!!

Self Love Practice Tip #95

In today’s post we will continue to talk about how to hush your inner critic. Another tip to hush your inner critic is forgiveness. Yes you have to forgive the critic within you. Hushing your inner voice is important but it is more important to identify where that nasty voice came from. Do you know why you say those nasty words to yourself? This is again a hard part but you need to deal with it. You need to dig deep and again figure out the source of your inner critic. Forgive yourself. Forgive your inner critic for saying or believing those negative words. There are many times even now when I have given in and believed my inner critic, put myself down. We have to forgive ourselves for doing that and forgive that inner voice for popping up again and again. The little nasty voice just wants your attention. Sometimes we don’t even pay attention to ourselves. It is like screaming like “I am here, can you please give some attention to me.”. But we have to identify that it is another light bulb that we should believe in ourselves and not go down that rabbit hole again. Sometimes the inner voice maybe trying to tell you that “Hey, is it really what you believe in? Work on yourself, dammit”. Be compassionate and forgive your inner critic or fully ignore it and turn it off. But identifying it and not believing it is just such a great awareness tool. Yes it is not perfect and yes it is hard, but it will truly help you.

Come back tomorrow for more inspiration.
