My aim with this series is to give you a daily boost of self love and self care. We all get busy with our lives and sometimes it leaves us less or no time to take time for ourselves, be with ourselves, wash off all the negativity that we accumulated during the day with self love, meditation, etc. The daily boost will be in an easy to understand and more importantly something which is relatable. Today we will talk about how to gain self respect by creating healthy boundaries. We will talk about how you can become self aware of the boundaries that you either are or not creating and how you may react to boundaries and eventually in subsequent post we will talk about how you can create a plan to create clear boundaries while still maintaining a positive attitude with the ones you love and this way you can build your confidence and self respect. Start having healthy boundaries with your loved ones. Some loved ones are just pushy without even realising it. They have your best interests in mind and they care and that is why they may come across as pushy but they are also the ones that can cause major damage to your self confidence. It is no way to be verbally or physically abused. It is possible. Yes, some people don’t understand how caring can be considering as a threat on the self confidence but most of the time it is because of constant criticising. Number one thing you should do is to become self aware. You should have a list of things that you like and dislike in your relationships with your parents or your signifiant others, friends. Like I said it is important to create boundaries in all your relationships, you boss, your coworkers, just every relationship. Whenever you feel uncomfortable or hurt by something, that is usually where a boundary needs to be set or created. So know a type of unhealthy boundaries that you are facing and live with.
