There are few things in a friendship that can be taken for granted.
- You don’t have to apologise to me for not texting back when you have so much going on.
- You don’t have to apologise to me for “going silent” or not reaching out when you’re not feeling yourself.
- You don’t have to apologise to me for cancelling plans when you really need to prioritise yourself and your mental health. Infact, there’s nothing more I want than you to prioritise yourself.
- You don’t have to apologise to me for telling me how you feel.
- You don’t have to apologise to me for being “needy” when you need somebody there.
- You don’t have to apologise to me for talking about your mental health, you’re not a burden. I want to listen, always.
- You don’t have to apologise to me for being a bad friend when you’re distant. Friendships aren’t always going to be easy but we chose each other and I’m here for it all.
What would you add to the list?
