I worried for the majority of my life. I was concerned about not being enough. Concerned about not being enough and what others thought of me I worried far too much about things over which I had no control. And not just the big things. Not keeping up with Instagram messages was once a major source of anxiety for me because I didn’t want to let anyone down. Lately, circumstances have brought about a significant shift. A strong need for self-care, a lack of concern for what others think (this does not imply that I don’t care about other people, so continue reading), and the ability to say no without hesitation.

Here is advice I would like to give to my younger self :

  • Write more.
  • Practice public speaking.
  • Value friendships.
  • Memorising is not learning.
  • Learn to invest.
  • You are not your job.
  • Know when to leave.
  • Find a mentor.
  • Trust your gut.
  • Solve harder problems.
  • Networking is about giving.

What would you add to the list?
