The older I get, the more I realise that
- Love will sometimes look like letting go and moving forward. There’s nothing wrong with needing or wanting to start over when something has run its course.
- It takes courage to walk away and make a new path. Choosing to do things differently and creating a new way does not make you wrong or a sell-out. It makes room in our lives for bravery and vulnerability.
- You can love people deeply and still keep them at a distance. I’ve let go of the idea that everybody I love has to be in my space intimately. I am no longer hard on myself for needing firmer boundaries or wanting to take a step back.
- Love will sometimes looks like choosing myself first.
- People can part ways without hatred or animosity. Everything isn’t messy. Sometimes it’s not about who is good or bad, wrong or right. Some relationships will just be seasonal, and that is okay.
- How liberating it is to let go without holding on to grudges, hatred, and resentment.
- People grow together and apart. There is beauty inn outgrowing and releasing. Everything isn’t a forever thing.
Please add to the list. Would love to know your thoughts.
