Because Apparently, Masterpieces Aren’t Made Overnight

Take a deep breath — we’ll start with the basics. I can’t tell you how proud I am of you for identifying where you are right now and being so upfront and honest about your feelings. That requires guts and courage that not everyone possesses, and it is a major, significant step in the right path towards healing and personal progress.
Remember that everyone of us is like a work in progress — a collection of delightfully messy masterpieces in the making. Those nagging anxiety attachment sensations and irritating poor self-esteem feelings? They don’t define who you are; they’re just roadblocks on your path. You are on a wonderful journey of self-discovery, and believe me, every step you take is meaningful, even if it is as small as a mouse’s footprint.
Consider your life to be a chaotic Sunday afternoon painting project. You could feel like you’re making a Michelangelo one day, but the next, well, the kid next door might outshine you with finger painting. But, in actuality, that’s just fine. All of this is part of the process. Accept all of the crooked lines and unexpected splashes; they provide character, flavour, and depth to your tale, much like additional pepperoni does to your favourite pizza.
When those overwhelming waves of worry hit you or your self-esteem plummets, take a minute to remind yourself of your strengths. Making a list may be a fantastic method to refresh your memory. It may be your innate empathy, your capacity to be the unshakeable rock in your group, your remarkable inventiveness, or your razor-sharp sense of wit. Hold onto these traits securely, like an umbrella in a storm — they’ll be your guiding lights on the cloudiest of nights.
On difficult days, remember that it is OK to seek support from those who actually care about you. Expressing your feelings does not make you a burden; it is a natural aspect of being human and connecting truthfully. After all, people are intended to connect and help one another in times of need — it’s one of the most enjoyable aspects of this job called life.
Above all things, learn to be kind to yourself. Treat yourself with the same patience, compassion, and understanding that you would give to your best friend. You deserve to treat yourself with the same kindness as everyone else, if not more.
You’re absolutely great exactly as you are right now, and you’ve got everything you need to sail over the stormy seas wherever life leads you next. Keep moving ahead, step by step. You have this firmly in the bag.
Consider this a warm, large virtual hug directed at you! You are never alone on this path.
