Welcome to the Daily Dose of Self Love. This series will be about self love, self care, self esteem and self worth. Basically everything related with SELF. My aim with this series is to give you a daily boost of self love and self care. We all get busy with our lives and sometimes it leaves us less or no time to take time for ourselves, be with ourselves, wash off all the negativity that we accumulated during the day with self love, meditation, etc. The daily boost will be in an easy to understand and more importantly something which is relatable. So Welcome!!
Self Love Practice Tip #33
In today’s post we will talk about how it is necessary to surround yourself with positivity. Unfollow social media accounts which make you feel bad about yourself. It is important to start creating a positive and healthier environment around you. Along with social media accounts we need to stop surrounding yourself with TV shows, magazines, maybe any music, anything that makes you feel inferior. If there are lyrics which say dark skin girls are unlovable and light skin is prettier, then don’t listen to that. Anything that makes you feel inferior about your skin colour or appearance, chuck it out of your life today. Stop listening to it, stop viewing it, stop reading it. All of that. That is the beauty of the internet now that we can create such environments which are customised to our liking. Start viewing positive images of your heritage and your culture, that is how you can feel connected to it and start realising where you actually came from is a good place. This is why the movie blank panther was so ground breaking and such a defining moment.

I don’t judge others but I do judge myself

Right from an early age, we develop the ability to make judgements. We judge whether something is safe enough, whether it’s too risky or not or whether something will serve us or not. In short, these judgements are considered decisions that are formed when we weight up different options. However, we also develop the ability to judge others and form opinions about other’s wants, needs, desires and actions. Not only that, but we also start judging ourselves based on our perception of other’s and the society and life around us. Soon judgements go from becoming a useful decision making tool, to something that leads one opinion or view point to being superior to another.

Wow 🤩
I always respect everyone else and I put all the anger, stress, judgment and everything like that on me I want everyone else to be and if it means putting it on I will. I will take everyone’s sadness, judgement, stress, anger and everything like that if it means everyone if happy and stuff like that. If I had the chance I would accept it so everyone has a better life.
