Daily Dose of Self Love

Welcome to the Daily Dose of Self Love. This series will be about self love, self care, self esteem and self worth. Basically everything related with SELF. My aim with this series is to give you a daily boost of self love and self care. We all get busy with our lives and sometimes it leaves us less or no time to take time for ourselves, be with ourselves, wash off all the negativity that we accumulated during the day with self love, meditation, etc. The daily boost will be in an easy to understand and more importantly something which is relatable. So Welcome!!

Self Love Practice Tip #45

In today’s post we will continue to talk about the diet culture. Be real. Do things if they make you happy and not to get somebody’s approval or to fit in the particular mood that the society has prepared for you. I don’t think men like the women are so worried about their weight. But they do make it a point to let women know when they are no aesthetic. Like that’s so wrong. If you want tell a women who could be your mother, partner, wife, daughter or sister to eat healthy to stay healthy, then it makes much more sense that telling them they look fat in some clothes or do not have a particular body type. Men, please note here that comments will only make them obsess about their looks even more and that too is an unhealthy way sometimes. There are so fantasies created by the media and women want to look like that even at the cost of ending up with malnourishment and nutritional deficiencies, most common iron and folic acid. Stop. I know social media shows us that people who have a particular body type or look a particular way are rich and have luxurious lifestyles. Being thin is not going to make your reach. Hard word and perseverance is going to make you rich. We have to be care fully about how we view ourselves when we view them.

Hope this helped. Come back tomorrow for more self love inspiration.

I fought hard to stop people from thinking it’s okay to joke about weight around me esp for my children. They think it’s funny but it’s not. I was called fat my whole life because in my mother tongue my name could sound like Fat Person! People thought it was funny but I hated it so much!….

Body shaming is equivalent to bullying. I am so happy you care about what your children learn. Thank you

It’s so hard for people to understand that and that they would call me overly sensitive for standing up to them.

It’s not easy and when I finally talk about it, many brush it off as me being dramatic and overly sensitive
