In today’s post we will continue to talk about the diet culture. Diet culture basically distracts women from contributing amazing things to this world. The diet culture wants us to think that we are not happy and they need us to feel that way because the diet and the beauty industry need to earn the profit from us. People spend more money in beauty than in education. We need to stop thinking that beauty is all a woman should be and die for. Teach the young girls to be more than their looks. It’s so superficial. Getting rid of the diet mentality culture is going to be tough. Its the same as learning to accept your body the way you are. Learn to accept your body as it is now (mine is with a little tummy out because I just ate my dinner). Our relationship with food is equally tough because as I said the media, beauty and diet industry are telling us that we cannot believe that we are okay with the weight we are at now. The age we are now is about “looking 10 years younger”, we celebrate someone who has lost weight more than someone who has achieved something at school. I mean where did we go wrong?
