We all get busy with our lives and sometimes it leaves us less or no time to take time for ourselves, be with ourselves, wash off all the negativity that we accumulated during the day with self love, meditation, etc. The daily boost will be in an easy to understand and more importantly something which is relatable. Self Love Practice Tip #67
Today we will talk about body positivity. Whenever I tried to exercise, in my mind it was always about weight loss, so when I did not lose weight, I became discouraged and guilty. I stopped being bothered about any healthy activity after being disappointed and starving myself with little results. That’s how I think most of us think about exercise, to having results to our appearance not necessarily results that pertain to our health, just moving our body and feeling energised. Now if your goal however is to lose weight, I would say you need to make sure that you are doing it for yourself and you are aware of what diet culture is, ask yourself questions, this is to know if you are truly losing weight for yourself and not for outside sources or pressured. People are like I am trying to lose some pounds but you have to understand that you body weight will fluctuate from time to time, specially with women. During PMS, you feel extremely bloated, there is inflammation due to pain, hormones are all over the place and hence we tend to become few ponds heavier. And then there are other live events in everyone’s life which make you gain weight and that is okay. Your focus at all times is to feel at peace mentally.
