Daily Dose of Self Love

Welcome to the Daily Dose of Self Love. This series will be about self love, self care, self esteem and self worth. Basically everything related with SELF. My aim with this series is to give you a daily boost of self love and self care. We all get busy with our lives and sometimes it leaves us less or no time to take time for ourselves, be with ourselves, wash off all the negativity that we accumulated during the day with self love, meditation, etc. The daily boost will be in an easy to understand and more importantly something which is relatable. So Welcome!!

Self Love Practice Tip #103

In today’s post we will continue to talk about how to feel comfortable in your own skin. Take time now to become more aware of how women are objectified daily and forgive yourself for self objectifying and obsessing over your appearance. What’s important now is taking action to change your mindset as well as societies. We must change the language we use, how we treat each other if we want to have gender equality. Its starts with you and this is how you will become comfortable in your own skin. So this is painful part of growth but you are here and you can do it. The mantra to take away from this is that I am a human first and a body second. Remember this when you start to obsess about your appearance because as women, we all want to achieve that hourglass figure so much because most of the ads are created from a male’s point of view. So men like boobs and butts and they make the waist usually small, whether it is a model or a cartoon or whatever. Hence it is an image that we have it in our heads that we have to look like and that is ridiculous. We have so much more to offer the world than how we look like. So don’t obsess about your appearance. Here’s an empowering quote I want to leave you all with :

Prettiness is not a rent you pay for occupying a space marked ‘female. ‘ – Erin McKean –

Your self worth does not grow bigger if you get a bigger butt or smaller stomach or 8 pack abs. You deserve respect for who you are.

Come back tomorrow for more inspiration.

    • Absolutely. Self-love means accepting yourself as you are in this very moment for everything that you are. It means accepting your emotions for what they are and putting your physical, emotional and mental well-being first. So now we know that self-love motivates you to make healthy choices in life.
