Do you ever wonder what love is? With the most sincere intentions. What it’s like to be appreciated, for who you are, and what you do. To be respected, for your past, for your present and for how you have become because of all that you have suffered. To be seen, but also to be really seen, from within, deep within. To be heard, to be heard in your wishes and your limits. Someone who reads between the lines. Someone who loves you for your beautiful and less beautiful sides, and who can still find you incredibly beautiful, pure, because of who you are. Someone who is there for you in the darkest times, and who stays. Someone who will settle for you, and no one else. Someone who loves you as you love. When effort comes naturally. When uncertainty or distrust does not play a role. “Cause you’re enough, and it’s all right.”
Maybe it’s asking too much. Maybe it never existed and we settled for less. Perhaps you will find it when you see that you are enough. Perhaps you will find it when you see that you are enough. Perhaps it is no longer of this time. But maybe we all long for the same thing, and maybe we love. May you find out, and may you found love within yourself.
To me it is not about settling for less. Realise that it takes time to know someone well. I think people don’t allow enough time and run away at the 6-9 month mark. I have been happily married for many years. Lets not put too many expectations on others before we get to know them…well obviously no axe murderers.

I agree with you. In the beginning of any relationship, patience is very important. One person will always be ahead of the other on the love curve. One is always wavered or confused while the other is already waiting with bated breath to start their lives with you. If you’re the one waiting, wait with a lot of hope and positivity.

We’re wired to equate love with longing, which means that the only time we feel in love and certain is when our partner isn’t fully available. We chase. We long. And then we think we’re in love.

Garima,
It’s such a powerful word that it is used to describe God. Powerful stuff.
