Don’t compare yourself to anyone else, you are doing yourself the greatest disservice.
No two people are alike, that is what makes each and every one of us so magnificent and special. it’s human nature to judge ourselves, to judge others, and when we’re feeling insecure we start comparing ourselves to other people. We think about whether someone has more money than we do, whether someone is prettier or more talented than we are. But it just doesn’t matter because that person isn’t you and they never will be. You were created exactly as you were meant to be.
Remember, there is nobody else on this earth who has the heart that you have, and that itself is worth treasuring.
So true!

This was great to read. I agree. God doesnt make mistakes. So be yourself because there is no one like you on this planet.

Yes. Comparison often stems from low self-esteem, negative self-talk, and related negative emotions, which are continually reinforced by the resulting failure. You can beat self-sabotage by monitoring your behaviors, feelings, thoughts, and beliefs about yourself, and challenging them when they stand between you and your goals.

Comparison is the thief of joy.” – Theodore Roosevelt. It’s true: When we compare ourselves to what others have, or simply how they are, we are essentially making ourselves feel down right inadequate and deflated – with a low self esteem to match.

Thank you for sharing your insights. I hope you won’t mind if I add that some people also compare to feel more worthy than others; thus hoping to become superior. 🙏

Most welcome. Comparison is the self sabotaging choice to compare yourself to another person in a way that makes you feel inferior, or to compare yourself to who you used to be (what you used to look like, what you used to have), and then judge yourself for not measuring up, for falling behind or for being a failure.

Yes, you’re right. We are unique and must accept it. I believe self acceptance can spare me from heartaches and depression.

Self-acceptance is the doorway to our authentic power. And when acceptance is lacking, it’s one of the biggest stumbling blocks to a person’s solid sense of self and serenity. Without self-acceptance, there is no true freedom.
