Welcome to the Daily Dose of Self Love. This series will be about self love, self care, self esteem and self worth. Basically everything related with SELF. My aim with this series is to give you a daily boost of self love and self care. We all get busy with our lives and sometimes it leaves us less or no time to take time for ourselves, be with ourselves, wash off all the negativity that we accumulated during the day with self love, meditation, etc. The daily boost will be in an easy to understand and more importantly something which is relatable. So Welcome!!
Self Love Practice Tip #70
Today we will continue to talk about body positivity. You are not allowed to tell someone that they are less valuable than anyone else because you are in the gym six days a week. Like that’s absolutely ridiculous and that person who is win the gym six days a week is unfortunately tying their self worth into their appearance and they will have to go to gym six days a week for the rest of their lives to feel worthy. Or they would dread some life events comes up which will prevent them from going to the gym six days a week. That’s my friends what we call addiction or dependent personality which is not healthy. So that’s why moving your body is more important and is a part of self care, but it shouldn’t be about losing weight or making you feel bad about your body. Choose to move your body because you love it, not because you hate it or you are shamed about it by other people. Exercise the way you enjoy it and not how the diet culture tells you to enjoy it. Someday some new music comes on and I just dance, move my body. Someday I go out for walks, long or short. I stretch everyday because I like how I feel after that and also spinal health is important for a desk job person like me. So I choose to move my body how I want it and how I want to feel energised.
So yes you can have fitness goals and still be body positive. Just be aware if you are doing it for you or for diet culture or other people or for sugar coating pepper issues.
Come back tomorrow on more inspiration.
