Herbs for Fungal Infections Part 2

There are a variety of different herbal sources that you can look to for treatment when you find that you are succumbing to a fungal infection.

  • Echinacea – Echinacea stimulates the immune system in order to enable your body to heal itself more rapidly. It has antimicrobial, anti fungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties. Drink echinacea tea or use the liquid from the infused herb directly on the affected area. Taking the tincture will help to restore your immune system. Echinacea is renowned for its healing properties.
  • Golden Seal – Golden seal is a North American herb that is used by Native Americans for its tonic properties. The herb is best taken as a tincture over a period of a week or so, but should be avoided during pregnancy. It stimulates the immune system and helps to heal fungal and bacterial infections. Use the healing powers of golden seal to soothe infections.
  • Garlic – Garlic helps to kill off the yeasts that cause fungal infections, as well as having antibacterial properties. Us fresh garlic in your food as much as possible, and take parsley to offset the embarrassing effects of garlic breath.
