Because True Love Happens During Grocery Runs, Not in Filtered

I urge you to develop your own relationship standards rather than allowing society define them. It’s easy to get caught up in the exaggerated ideals that social media promotes. We watch those beautiful Instagram couples and begin to question our own marriages. However, keep in mind that what you see online is only the highlights. Just because your relationship does not seem like a Hollywood film does not imply that it is without love or value. Focus on the small moments, such as late-night conversations or supporting one another during difficult times, that truly make it memorable.

I hope you meet someone who loves you wholeheartedly. Someone who has your back, no matter what. This is the type of person that encourages you, whether you’re aiming for a promotion at work or simply attempting a new activity. Someone willing to give you their time and attention, especially if they don’t have anything spectacular to offer. True love entails being present and supporting.

Look for a partner that is down to earth and strong. Life may throw curveballs, and having someone who can deal with setbacks is invaluable. They may not take you on fancy vacations, but they will be there for Sunday morning breakfasts and nighttime dog walks. These little moments provide true delight and stability, which are more important than any social media post.

Find someone who has gained wisdom from their life experiences. Perhaps they have travelled extensively or learnt from several occupations. Their tales and insights are invaluable. They should be upfront and honest about their history and shortcomings, allowing you to build a trustworthy and solid relationship. Imagine a buddy with whom you can discuss everything from frivolous films to serious life issues without fear of being judged.

Seek out someone who values hard work and dedication. They don’t have to be the CEO of a firm; they simply have to be ready to collaborate with you to create a happy life together. Consider someone who is willing to budget for a pleasant road trip rather than a five-star vacation, or someone who assists you while you both work to achieve your professional objectives.

Finally, search for someone who makes you happy and provides a loving and real relationship. A healthy heart is typically the best companion, more than any amount of money or rank. Finally, those true attributes are what foster a long-lasting and meaningful connection.

Take care.

  1. This is my opinion of what love is. Love should be effortless and never forced. You can’t force love but love creates force. Force for each other. When you have that special person in your life, absolutely everything is just that little bit better than it is with anybody else. From doing the dishes to going to the supermarket to sex. It’s all just that a little bit more than it ever has been before.

      1. I’ve been single for 13 years now and I’m not saying that the ladies are queuing up but I won’t settle for anything less than this (or as near as damn it), I think it’s the least we deserve, to be content. There’s far too much pressure to be in a relationship these days and to marry and have kids etc and it’s not healthy for people who have to deal with the consequences.

  3. I find your post very insightful. I have saved it to read again because I feel it’s worth reading again and again. Thanks for sharing.

It is so important to define our standards and principles for a relationship, rather than allow other people especially through socially media to define it for us
