Today we will talk about embracing minimalism. You, too, can change. Minimalism may not be the answer for you. If you’re not happy, though, you, too, can build your change muscle and, over time, change your circumstances. There are many paths to happiness; minimalism simply allowed us to clear the clutter from our paths so we could find that happiness sooner. As you will journey further down your paths, many of the naysayers will jump on board. Not because you asked them to—never ask anyone to embrace minimalism—but because they saw the happiness you will welcomed into your lives. They will see that for the first time in your adult lives you are truly excited, joyous, and content with who you are. They will see that perhaps you don’t have it figured out before, and maybe you don’t have it figured out now, but you certainly appear to be on the right track. The actions alone will not convince them, but once the will see the benefits, they will better understand the changes you will have undergone. There will be, however, some relationships you will had to get rid of: it will not be easy, but certain people—friends and family—will not adding value to our lives, they are the sources of negativity, and they will prevent you from growing. Always treat this option as a last resort, but it’s important to know that, as you grow, even your relationships can change. Today, many of my old friends are still my friends—while others are not—but I have also established new, empowering relationships that encourage my constant growth and help me enjoy what I contribute to the relationship.
