Negative thoughts drain you of energy and keep you from being in the present moment. The more you give in to your negative thoughts, the stronger they become. I like the imagery of a small ball rolling along the ground, and as it rolls, it becomes bigger and faster. That’s what one small negative thought can turn into: a huge, speeding ball of ugliness. On the contrary, a small positive thought can have the same effect blossoming into a beautiful outcome.

Here are two techniques to overcome negative thought patterns :

Mental Vacuum Techniques

The mental vacuum techniques is something I have been using for a while, and it will help you such out any thoughts you don’t want in your mind. The technique is basically imagining a vacuum over any thought you don’t want, switching it on, and watching it get sucked away. The other side of the vacuum is oblivion. Once that thought is pulled out of your mind, it is gone forever. This is a powerful tool to use to clear out negative, draining thoughts. The mental vacuum is at your fingertips to activate anytime a thought you don’t want comes to mind.

During your manifestation process, old thought patterns and negative thinking could come back to test you or challenge your new positive mindset. The point isn’t to ignite them; the goal is to get rid of them completely. Using mental techniques like these will give you an extra tool to visualise, feel, and release what doesn’t belong in your mental space.

Cutting Cords with the Past

If you feel like you are stuck in the past or attached to someone from another time in your life, this technique will help free your energy from what is no longer present. Understand that the past is gone. No matter what someone has done to you or what happened to you before, in this moment, all of that is done. Now we have to free your mental energy from past attachments so you can use that energy to create what you want today.

If someone has hurt you, or you have regrets from the past, you have to be prepared to cut the cord connecting you to that experience. Free your emotions and thoughts from that connection. Release yourself from the cycle of could have, should have and would have. When you are making these powerful changes to manifest the reality you want, you must be willing to let go. The cord id basically what keeps your mental and emotional energy stuck on someone or something that’s not required in your life today.

Hope these techniques work for you. Try and see.

    1. Most welcome. Negative thinking contributes to anxiety in social and performance situations. … The key to changing your negative thoughts is to understand how you think now (and the problems that result) and then use strategies to change thoughts or make them have less effect.

    1. You can think of this like many small steps of transition. Each day we are evolving. Learning and growing beyond what we once were. Holding on to what was would prevent us from moving forward.

If we were to continue accumulating all of the left overs from every past thought, action and experience, we would be heavily weighted down by the burden of it all.

When we transition from one way of being to another, whether that is via relationship with another person or simply how we relate to life, it is necessary to let go of what is no longer helpful. In terms of relationship with others, we tend to hold onto much more than is healthy for us energetically, physically and even spiritually.

Cutting energy cords helps to move through transition without the burden of carrying the weight of the past. It frees us to move forward with lightness and a sense of openness.
