- Strengthen Your Core – Doing core strengthening exercises is an important part of a well rounded fitness program. The core helps with balance and stability and makes other physical activities easier. If your core is weak, you have more chance of muscle injuries and back pain.
- Lift Weights – It is very important for women to incorporate some form of strength training into their routine, especially as they get older. Research has shown that weight training helps to strengthen your bones which can then prevent osteoporosis. Building lean muscle also increases your metabolism, allowing you to burn more calories and lose body fat.
- Don’t Compare Yourself to Other People – We all have different body shapes and sizes. Some people are just naturally thin and no matter what they do, they don’t put on weight, while others constantly struggle to keep it off. Don’t demotivate yourself by comparing yourself to others. Instead, focus on yourself and the progress you are making.
