Daily Dose of Self Love

Welcome to the Daily Dose of Self Love. This series will be about self love, self care, self esteem and self worth. Basically everything related with SELF. My aim with this series is to give you a daily boost of self love and self care. We all get busy with our lives and sometimes it leaves us less or no time to take time for ourselves, be with ourselves, wash off all the negativity that we accumulated during the day with self love, meditation, etc. The daily boost will be in an easy to understand and more importantly something which is relatable. So Welcome!!

Self Love Practice Tip #47

In today’s post we will continue to talk about the diet culture. Whenever some sees an unhealthy body, they tag, ticking time bomb, heart attack waiting to happen, they are going to die early. Duet culture has created these awful stereotypes and discrimination against over weight people. Sometimes people are not even obese, and still those type of comments will be made. It’s just straight up for anyone who is not fitting in the mould that society has defined for them. No one has the right to degrade people and shame them like this. Those labels are only tied to obese and overweight people and it is because of diet culture. We punish ourselves because society tells us we are what you eat which really gets to our head and it literally has women afraid to eat. I mean there are some foods I am so terrified to eat and specially in front of people because you are supposed to feel ashamed. I mean why can’t I buy a donut if I want to eat a donut. Why do I have to think so much about it and then write about it too on my blog.

I am going to end the post here today. Unfortunately, there is nothing positive or constructive coming out of my grey matter. Hope this helped and I sincerely hope you will come back tomorrow for more self love inspiration. Till then here’s more on diet culture > https://empress2inspire.blog/2021/02/15/daily-dose-of-self-love-46/

I eat donuts and I end up judging my action for some minutes before I can come to terms with the fact that “it’s a donut/cake,and I just had it. It does taste good too. I love the taste of it. It’s wheat flower and a few additives,I know ,but it’s not like I only feed on donuts, get over it!”

I have been thinking on what self-love is this week, and I am excited to read your series for more insights.

And I shall keep on writing more on self love. There can never be enough self love in the world. You are not alone. I also feel ashamed sometimes of not being able to eat what I want.

Girl! Preach. I also many people take thin people (or people who eat very planned) have their life together because they have self control. That is not always the case. Eat that donut & enjoy it. We don’t need little girls seeing us starve ourselves. Loving yourself show others how to love too. 💕

Thank you Girl for the inspiration and support. We all need it sometime. I hope for a day where I don’t have to think about wearing something or eating something. 🙂 Till then, support it is!!!
