Hair loss is also known as alopaecia and baldness, which happens in men, women and children. Over a 1,00,000 of terminal hairs adorn the scalp area of adults in both genders. Each of these hairs retains its own identity throughout the person’s lifetime. In practical terms, this means that each individual hair on scalp grows according to its own schedule, rather than a single schedule affecting the entire head of hair. Every day, the scalp loses about 100 hairs and they will grow back in 5-6 weeks, which is a part of hair renewal process. Mild hair loss is not that obnoxious, but excessive hair loss may require proper medical attention. There are various causes of hair loss & hair fall and several factors may actually contribute to excessive hair loss. Nowadays, a bunch of effective treatments are available to root out the vexing hair loss problem.

Here are few foods you can add in your die to stop hair loss :

  • Salmon – Salmon, one of the best source for omega-3 fatty acids aid in hair growth. Loaded with proteins, vitamin B12 and minerals. It solves hair problems like dry hair, dull hair, hair thinning etc.
  • Almonds – Consuming soaked almonds or applying as a paste on the scalp nourishes your hair. it restricts hair fall and aids in the growth of new hair follicles.
  • Lentils – Lentils possess a lot of protein that is vital for cell growth as well as hair cells. Keratin is protein from which hair gets its structure. Lack of protein for keratin, hair become weak and grow weaker.
  • Chicken – Chicken being rich in protein and vitamin B3 increase blood circulation in the scalp and prevent hair loss.

      They are. Almonds are rich in magnesium and nutrients which promote hair growth. By preventing dandruff and hair damage, almond provides sufficient nutrition to the hair follicles that make the hair strands stronger, thus reducing hair fall.

  2. My favorite fish is Salmon- actually had it in Alaska and nothing beats Salmon there

    Salmon and Chicken are already part of what I eat- my dad has to be the to grill it.

  3. Very interesting. I lost my hair at 14 due to anorexia and it made me question my identity which spurred my soul’s spiritual awakening. ❣

      1. Our hair represents our identity for a lot of people. Even though we don’t take our hair with us into our next existence it is interesting to contemplate what role our hair plays in our lives..
