Daily Dose of Inspiration – Untamed

Live untamed and unafraid is a recipe for really living life to the full – for really feeling alive day in, day out. It’s about being true to yourself, pushing through your doubts and fears to go after what you really want in life, and living an inspired life that not only has you feel truly alive, but also inspires those around you to really ‘live life’.

But then if it one of the way to living a fulfilling life, then why don’t we follow it? This is because of our untamed mind and then when we fuel it by talking about it. Of the human urges, a great one is the urge to talk. It is believed that all living beings communicate in their respective languages. Humans, however, due to developed intellect and conditioned self, have developed the system of holding elaborate conversations. If you look around you will find most people talking most of the time. A lot that is being talked is not heard. The urge to talk arises directly from the restless mind. Whether such talk is useful or useless, positive or negative is subject to individual interpretation.

You can tame your mind by exerting some mental discipline. Make it a daily morning routine to be still by yourself for a few minutes and experience who you are. Raise your awareness to your inner process and feel your feelings – it won’t KILL you. In fact you will be surprised to notice that the emotional pain is not “unbearable”, unless you try to make it go away easily. Take some time to explore the thoughts behind your feelings.

    100% agreed.
We increase uneasiness by overthinking about adversity, lack of qualities, and because we just don’t dare to look in the eyes an unpleasant situation or feeling… when we dare, we realise we can get over practically everything…
Thank you for reminding this so clearly and straight to the point as you usually do!

    1. Over-thinking fabricates problems and gory “what if” horror stories. Over-thinking creates heightened feelings of anger, resentment, jealousy, fear, doubt, indecision, confusion, etc

My late brother lived his life without fear, no plans and had very little, but he lived a productive and rich life and he teated each day like it was his last. I wish i had the balls to do the same.

    1. Sorry to hear about your loss. But I am glad he made it till the end with courage and smile. It really is so easy to get bogged down in fear. It is not something that any of us want, but it happens to all of us at one point or another. We want to live life courageously, going out on a limb to pursue our dreams or our deepest wants and desires, but we get stuck in thoughts about what if fail or get caught up in all of the negative possible outcomes of a situation. We think of how other people will perceive our actions or we think who are we to deserve to good things in life and so we hit a wall and fear keeps us paralyzed— keeping us from moving forward, keeping us stuck in a lesser version of ourselves.

taking control of our mind and thoughts is one of the hardest things in life, due to circumstances and situations we tend to give in to the fear and doubt, worrying and creating more worries..thank you for the words of wisdom

    1. If intellect completely surrenders to the soul, then all decision taken by the man will be good and correct. The soul is the vibrant energy which reflects itself towards the intellect, mind and body. If these three parts such as intellect, mind and body surrender themselves completely to the Soul then human being can be a complete one.

  6. You make such an interesting point and it is absolutely true. You can’t know what you want and hence live to the fullest if you don’t spend some alone time, being honest with yourself.

    1. Ever since I was a kid, my mother always told me that there was rarely a time I was not smiling. (Even when my 3-year-old brother threw my entire second birthday cake on me.) I do my best to live life to the fullest everyday.

Something like untamed but I think of it as going back to basics. The source. How things are made. The primal human

    The primal human thing

What does a stable mental state smell like? To me it smells like citrus and peppermint.

What does a good mental state feel like? Ideally it would be good if my cat grew big enough so that it can cuddle me. Playing in the rain.

What do I do to help myself calm down? I like to build a giant sand castle with many rooms. There is something about the sea and sand that is special. Also I plant vegetables. Get my hands dirty. Smell the flowers. Breathe in the fresh air and sit in the sun. Endless trail for running would be good too.

The primal human thing. They bring joy and connection. Best of all they are free.
