Everyday you have another chance to make your self better. Some days are better than others. On those days that go less well, we usually end up being hard on ourselves. Here are some tools to avoid doing so. Trust yourself. Believe in your inner resources, no matter what, and you’ll grow from the experience. I believe that the answers usually lie within and you are probably smart enough to figure out what you need to do. Give yourself a little time and have patience.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the best things in life are free.  They come in the form of simple pleasures and they appear right in front of you at various locations and arbitrary times.  They are governed by Mother Nature and situational circumstance and captured by mindful awareness.  It’s all about taking a moment to notice the orange and pink sunset reflecting off the pond water as you hold hands with someone you love.  Noticing these moments and taking part in them regularly will bring unpredictable bursts of happiness into your life.

Positive thinking is at the forefront of every great success story.  The mind must believe it can do something before it is capable of actually doing it.  So be aware of your mental self-talk.  We all talk silently to ourselves in our heads, but we aren’t always conscious of what we’re saying or how it’s affecting us.  Start listening to your thoughts.  If you hear negative thoughts, stop for a second and replace them with positive thoughts.  As the Dalai Lama once said, “The way to overcome negative thoughts and destructive emotions is to develop opposing, positive emotions that are stronger and more powerful.”

Be proud of yourself. Being proud isn’t bragging about how great you are.  It’s more like quietly knowing that you’re worth a lot.  It’s not about thinking you’re perfect – because nobody is – but knowing that you’re worthy of being loved and accepted.  Boost your self-esteem by recognizing your accomplishments and celebrating them.  Acknowledge your positive qualities, and when you come across a quality in yourself that you aren’t proud of, don’t sulk in your sorrows, proactively work on correcting it.

    1. Thank you. Fortunately, our minds and hearts are malleable, and we can learn to love and accept ourselves. It is exhausting to live up to illusory expectations and disappointments. But with a combination of positive thought and positive action, you can lead yourself out of the dark side and into the light.

    1. Thank you. Glad you liked my post. Appreciating your life is not supposed to be work. It’s a way of allowing yourself to forgive any transgressions and make the promise that you won’t go down that path again. Important actions determine the quality of your life. The virtues and values that you decide to embrace and live by allow you to feel good and be happy. thoughts condition the quality of our emotions. Knowing how to take care of our emotional health can help us to feel better about life.
      Thanks again

    1. Feeling good about your life involves just 2 parts. Really! One is to learn to think about yourself in healthy ways. This is a learned skill, ladies and gentlemen, not something that a lucky few were born with. The second part of feeling good about your life involves “making things happen? Seeing yourself being successful ?at anything! ?builds the blocks of confidence. So the next time you are faced with a difficult task, you have effectively taught yourself that you can handle it. .

    1. Well Said. Imagination creates reality. IMAGINATION CREATES REALITY. Your own wonderful human imagination is the actual creative power of God within you. It is your savior. If you were thirsty, water would be your savior. If you needed a job, just ask for it and be rest assured it will come. Law of attraction takes time because we take time to get into the wanted vibration.

Thank you for reminding us of these things. Years ago, I had the worst self esteem after living in an emotionally controlling and abusive relationship. I have definitely learned the power of positive thinking and my life is now better than ever.
