Make Your Diet Volumetric

Most of the popular diets today rely somewhat on portion control. However, one diet offers an alternative. The diet method is called Volumetrics and the premise is to encourage people to eat foods that are naturally low in calories due to high water content. Fresh produce, whole grains, good fats and low-fat dairy are all available food choices on the Volumetrics diet.

The benefit of Volumetrics is that one can potentially lose weight without decreasing their food portions. This can help eliminate the feeling of hunger that accompanies certain types of diets. The premise is that a full stomach will limit feelings of hunger and make the regimen feel less like a diet than other alternatives potentially leading to adherence.

Here’s how you can make your diet volumetric

  • Focus on Whole Foods – Avoid chemicals and eat more nutrient dense foods found in nature.
  • Get Creative and Colourful – Consume a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables loaded with phytonutrients, vitamins and minerals yet low in calories.
  • Prepare Meals at Home – Aim to consume most of your meals at home. Grabbing fast foods mean you’re also likely be consuming unhealthy trans fat.
  • Comprehend Food Density – Categorize your foods based on their density and make a plan for how you’re going to incorporate them into your diet.

Most welcome Barbara. Volumetrics is a well-researched and healthy approach to weight loss. It emphasizes a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. This allows you to feel full on fewer calories, and to lose weight while eating satisfying portions of nutritious foods.

It’s the most healthiest way to eat. The Volumetrics diet emphasizes eating low-energy-dense, high-nutrient-dense foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains and low-fat dairy. Conversely, high-energy-dense foods, such as those with a high proportion of unhealthy fats or sugar and little moisture, are recommended to be limited.

Fresh fruits and vegetables are very hard to find. Now they are grown in drain and sewage water in many places in India. It happens more in big cities, many small cities even now have fresh fruits and vegetables because they get them from nearby villages. Fertilizers are used to grown fruits and vegetables which are harmful for health. Now they are artificially ripe using chemicals. Now they don’t taste like fruits and vegetables anymore, the taste has gone.
