Daily Dose of Affirmation

Each day you can journey from your Alpha (it begins with you) to your Omega, which in the teachings of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, is the point within each of us where our inner spiritual nature meets our outer worldly nature.

It is with this thought I bring to you daily dose of affirmations for your mind and soul. An affirmation a day, keeps the therapist away!!! Here are your affirmation for todayย :

  • I consider the opinions of others but I make the final decisions in my life.
  • I am generally aware of my feelings thoughts, needs and wants.
  • I allow others to feel and think differently than I do.
  • I can empathise with others without taking on their burdens.
  • I have a clear sense of priorities and preferences and can clearly express them.
  • I accept responsibility for the outcome of my choices.
  • I enjoy the company of others and I enjoy alone time.
  • I can be flexible when things don’t go as planned.
  • I can take a stand for myself and others when I see injustice and unkindness.
  • I feel free to do things that I enjoy and feel deserving of self care.

Those attributes are ones firstborn’s tend to take on and I’m so guilty of that but I’ve learned over the years. Taking responsibility for the results of my actions has not been a problem, but trying to fix everyone else’s has.

Yes Jolie, I am guilty of that too. But what I realised eventually is that the only person we can actually save or hold accountable for our lives is ourselves. We cannot understand another personโ€™s journey completely even if we have birth to them. Yes we are emotional beings and we want our environment in which we live to be filled with healthy people, but we can only take care of ourselves, our reactions, our peace of mind. We can work within and the world around us will change. ๐Ÿ™‚

So true. As you’ve read about my sister being ill, I have had to let her boys do what needs to be done and it’s hard because she and I were so close and she relied so much on me helping her through things. We always knew the day would come where we have to let our children take care of us and hope that we imbued them with the same nurturing qualities we hope we extended our parents.

Affirmations (meaning statements said with confidence about a perceived truth) have helped thousands of people make significant changes in their lives. But they don’t always work for everyone. An affirmation can work because it has the ability to program your mind into believing the stated concept.
