Habits of Successful People

Our habits make up a large portion of our day, so why not try and adopt more positive, productive habits that can help you to become more successful? Swapping destructive habits for more beneficial ones provides a simple way of getting on track to a better life. So, why not start changing your habits today?

Below are the five top habits of successful people. Adopt them maybe?

  • Realise your goal by starting at the finish line. Successful people, like rocket scientists, define their desired outcome first, then reverse engineer the steps and strides needed to get there. So start thinking backwards.
  • Successful people try to figure out ways to replicate their win or successes. Once you score a success, why stop there. So repeat yourself a lot.
  • Cut corners. Step one would be to succeed. Step two could be to repeat the same results, but faster, easier and cheaper than before. There’s a fine line between cutting corners and cutting quality, though. Make sure you recognise the difference.
  • They quit. Yes they do. Leaders quit a lot by keeping a keen eye on what’s not working. Once they identify the thing sucking energy, money and resources from their business, they cut it out, and fast.
  • Say no more than yes. Successful people constantly say “no” to anything and everything not in support of the one great opportunity they’re focused on. If you goal is to grow giant pumpkins, growing giant melons as well will distract you.

So do you have what it takes? No? Chill, not everyone has it figured out. I am sure people who are successful do not see them as got it all anyways. We are all a work in progress :).

If we want to be successful we must become disciplined. Journaling can be helpful by writing down what you want your life to become like you have a higher probability of accomplishing it.

Yes Kim. Another good habits of successful people is that they are action oriented. This is really the most important habit for material success. It is the ability to get on with the job and get it done fast. It is your ability to develop and maintain a sense of urgency, and a bias for action. Fast tempo in whatever you do is essential to your success. You need to overcome procrastination, push aside your fears and launch 100% toward the achievement of your most important goals. The combination of goal orientation, result orientation, and action orientation, in themselves, will virtually assure great success.
