I understand how difficult it is to have suicidal thoughts. You feel as if you can’t hold on any longer. You feel like giving up right now.
When you see so many people around you walking around happily, enjoying life, living life, you wonder if your absence would make any difference. You mistakenly believe that no one cares whether you’re present or not. You incorrectly assume that the world would remain the same even if you were not present.
Life goes on regardless of how many friends you have, how many people you think love you, or how many people you think care about you. They may cry for a while, miss hanging out with you for a few days, or bemoan the fact that they didn’t see what you were going through while you were right in front of them, but they will eventually move on. Right…? Wrong.
Believe me when I say I understand exactly what you’re going through. Because I’ve been through it. But, darling, don’t give up. Maintain a positive attitude.
Even if you think giving up is an option, don’t. Because there are far better things ahead of you than what you’ve already abandoned.
Continue to fight. Remember that even the darkest nights end with a bright sun, an incredible new beginning, and more hope.
I can assure you that even if you think you’ve been like this forever and that this phase will last until you die, it won’t. I can assure you that it will pass and things will be much better than they are now.
Just be brave enough to keep calm and hold on. Make yourself believe that everything will be fine. Everything will be much better than it was.
One day will come when you’ll achieve your goals. All of your wishes will be granted.
There will come a time when you will not remember these events. But, in order for that day to come, you must first survive today.
As you are aware, nothing is easy. Everything has a price. Happiness follows suit. How will you know what angels look like if you don’t come across any devils?
Begin to live for yourself. Give yourself some breathing room. Do whatever makes you happy.
If dancing like a lunatic to a song makes you happy, go ahead and do it. If eating your favourite food while watching random episodes of F.R.I.E.N.D.S makes you happy, go ahead and do it.
Call your high school best friend and talk about your memories if it helps you forget about your stress. If going shopping with your college friends can provide you with some relief, go ahead and do it. If going to the movies with your mother makes you happy, go ahead and do it.
You know how life is too short to live in regret? Take risks. Take a lot of them because you never know where you’ll end up.
Just make sure you don’t have to deal with a day full of what ifs in the future.
So, darling, keep going!
Your moment will come.
