The only thing stopping you from reaching your goals and dreams are your limits. It’s when you meet your limits that you feel resistance and things you want seem harder to achieve. Whether it is fear, doubt, physical abilities or some other mental block, it can present a huge barrier to getting what you want. Unfortunately most people can’t work past their limits and give up. But, not you. you will push through your limits and get whatever it is your desire.

How?

Here are few ways in which you can lead your life you desire :

  1. “Future Focused” – Don’t dwell on your past. Let your thoughts be consumed with possibilities rather than defeat and limitations. Each new day is a chance to better yourself. Don’t define yourself by who you once were.
  2. Feel All Emotions – It’s easy to run away or distract yourself from negative emotions. But allowing yourself to feel and work through difficult times is the only way you will really experience transformational growth.
  3. Set Boundaries – Boundaries are put in place to protect yourself, not to control other people. Don’t create unnecessary drama in your life because you aren’t able to effectively set boundaries.
  4. Commit to Healthier Habits – Drink more water. Stop eating when you’re full. Give your body movement and fresh air each day. Practice self-care to avoid burnout.
  5. Practice Gratitude – Replace your usual complaints with expressions of gratitude. Among all the things that are wrong, point out the things in your life that are right! You’ll be surprised how many you can find when you look!.
  6. Cultivate Generosity – Step outside of yourself and cultivate a spirit of generosity. Loving others through generous service not only deepens relationships but also makes you an overall happier person.
  7. Give Yourself Grace – Stop being so hard on yourself. The key to experiencing growth and becoming the best version of yourself is to give grace to who you already are and love yourself along your journey.

When you’re facing your limits and you feel that resistance, it can seem hard to overcome. But just by pushing yourself a little harder, you can really accomplish some great things. And the funny thing is that once you do, you can look back and wonder just why you ever thought it was that difficult to begin with. Don’t let limits stop you from doing anything.

There are no “overnight successes”. Think of all the incredible people you truly admire. They didn’t succeed becasue of one giant move, but rather a series of small and consistent actions over time

    1. Thank you. I am glad you liked the post. Your performance and ability to get things done is inextricably bound to brain performance. A big, audacious goal looks scary to your brain. And when your brain encounters scary, it goes into “freeze” mode. You don’t want that. If you constantly overstretch yourself, you will lose the required energy you need to take the necessary action to get better.

  4. I don’t like lingering in the past. I like to move on from things and just remain in this moment – it isn’t easy, but it’s better. I really like this post. I like that some of us that can get past all the bad news and share something good. Something that actually helps, and grants us a teeny sliver of hope. So thank you.
