Anxiety is like a backpack that we carry around with us on our backs every day.

It’s full of worries, doubts, and fears that weigh us down and make us feel like we’re walking on eggshells. Some of us are better at hiding our backpacks than others, but eventually, we all have to take them off and share our anxieties with someone we love.
Being vulnerable and sharing your anxiety with someone can be terrifying, but it can also be incredibly liberating. When we find someone who accepts our anxiety for what it is and doesn’t judge us for it, we can start to let go of some of our worries and relax.
Think of it this way: If you’re carrying a backpack full of heavy rocks and someone comes along and helps you take some of the weight off, wouldn’t you feel more free and empowered? The same goes for anxiety. When we share our anxiety with someone who accepts it, we feel less burdened and more capable of handling whatever life throws our way.
Sometimes, we may feel the urge to hide our anxiety from our romantic partners or potential partners. We may think that if they knew about our anxiety, they would reject us or think that we’re weak. However, this fear is often unfounded.
Just like how a diamond goes through a refining process in order to become beautiful, our anxieties can help refine and strengthen our relationships. Trust, empathy, love and compassion are necessary qualities for a successful relationship and sharing our anxieties takes courage. It allows us to build deep connections with another person because it brings us closer emotionally.
If you’re currently single and searching, hold out for someone who will love and accept all parts of you, even the anxious parts. You deserve someone who respects and supports your anxiety, not someone who makes it worse. Likewise, if you’re already in a relationship and feeling anxious, try talking to your partner about it and be open to their support.
At the end of the day, anxiety can be a tough burden to carry and it may seem like something that could hold us back from finding love or being happy. But in reality, it can bring us closer together and make us stronger. Hold out for someone who accepts your anxiety and don’t be afraid to let your guard down. You might be surprised at how much stronger you feel when you let go and trust someone else to carry some of the weight with you.
Remember, being vulnerable is the first step towards true intimacy and loving relationships.
