You Matter To Me If Not To Anyone Else

I want you to know how important you are.

I won’t thus want for you to fall in love or become richer. I won’t wish for you to get married, earn a master’s degree, or find a new career because those things might not make you happy. Since sadness can also be beautiful, I won’t also wish you all the happiness in the world. I hope that you experience life this year and in the years to come. I’m hoping that this year you’ll begin to think of yourself as a gift. I sincerely hope you will stop blaming yourself for your strong emotions. I wish you would embrace all feelings rather than suppress them.

You were meant to feel, to develop compassion and empathy from the inside out, and to set an example for others by being a person with a huge heart and humility from birth. There is no need for you. You are not an assortment of errors. You are not defective. You are a repository of tales, lessons, and infinite wisdom. Even if you consider yourself to be a work in progress, you are always a work of art. Despite the fact that you are not perfect, you are nonetheless deserving of other people’s sincere affection. Give yourself permission to let go of your pursuit of perfection. It’s acceptable to attempt and fail. to drop and then rise once more. to begin and end events as you please. to be in pain while grieving.

To establish new relationships and outgrow people. to develop a new version of yourself as you grow. I’m hoping you’ll start making decisions about how to live your life based on what you want and need. Try to seek out new experiences that you will love forever rather than people’s acceptance and recognition. You have the right to refuse and disagree, so stop saying “yes” to the things you don’t want to do. You have the right to express your opinions and stand by them. You may be heard. You are free to be audacious and deviate from the norm. Give yourself permission to learn more than what you have been taught at school. Talk about the forbidden subjects and take in all the different viewpoints of those around you.

Learn about the backgrounds and values of many people to expand your perspective. While keeping in mind your fundamental principles, be aware that you are always free to adjust your viewpoint. Never settle for a single perspective on a situation. You can investigate as many concepts as you want. Allow yourself to let go of the weighty responsibility of living up to people’s expectations this year. Live in the moment. Relax and take a few deep breaths. to let go and believe in whatever life has to give. I’m hoping you’ll realise that a lot of things are going to be out of your control and accept that sometimes things are going to go wrong.

You’re not expected to understand everything right away. Life is not a puzzle to be solved; it is designed to be complicated. Because some things just don’t make sense sometimes, it’s okay if you don’t understand everything. I hope you give yourself permission to let things be this year. I’m hoping you’ll comprehend and always be aware of when to start and stop. To remain or to go. to put out an effort or let go. This year, I’m hoping you’ll learn how to establish boundaries with people and things. Most importantly, I hope you’ll give yourself permission to live this year. to sing with no one else present. to brazenly dance in the middle of the group. to bravely ask inquiries and look for assistance.

To begin your journey of healing and profound self-understanding. To experience all feelings and shed both happy and sad tears. To be conflicted and uncertain. to venture out on new adventures and allow yourself to discover new things. To take a guilt-free nap and relax your body and mind. No matter how impossibly difficult, to pursue your dreams. I’m hoping this year you’ll realise what’s really important to you. I sincerely hope you won’t spend your time trying to love someone who can’t properly love you back. I hope you won’t feel insignificant in front of anyone. I hope you won’t stay in a place where you don’t feel at home. I’m hoping you’ll have the guts to continue. To start over.

Stop letting your past dictate your future. to fully realise your potential and to resolve that this time, you’ll take good care of yourself. I’m hoping that this year you’ll learn what it’s like to be a complete human. Please keep in mind that you are permitted to be here in the upcoming years. It’s okay to love and be loved. You are here to interact, share experiences, offer support, and create a lasting impression of compassion. Never consider oneself to be worthless. After all this time, your existence still matters, so there is a purpose why you are here. You are significant. I hope that this year, despite how gloomy the world may be, you will always find hope.

Listening to your heart while making choices can mean different things to different people. For some, it means tapping into their emotions and intuition to guide their decision-making process. For others, it means connecting with a higher power or spiritual force to seek guidance and clarity. Regardless of the interpretation, the idea is to trust your gut and follow your inner guidance when faced with tough decisions. This can lead to more authentic and fulfilling choices, as well as a deeper connection with oneself and the world around us. This book tells you how. Grab your copy of my new book here –
