How to Love your Own Company

Being alone yourself may be a fantastic experience. It may be a chance for you to unwind, get back in touch with who you are, and do the things you like without interruptions. But being alone may also be a source of worry and discomfort for many people. Here are some suggestions for learning to appreciate your own company if you find it difficult to do so:
Embrace your isolation. Loneliness and solitude are not the same. It’s about choosing to be alone as opposed to being forced to be alone because you have no other choice. Accept isolation as a chance to relax in your own company and pursue your passions unhindered. Consider it similar to a lone vacation where you get to decide everything (perhaps with the exception of the remote control).
Find hobbies you want to do on your own. This might be anything from reading to writing to painting to listening to music. These pursuits may provide you a feeling of accomplishment and purpose as well as enable you to relax and take pleasure in your own company. Additionally, you get to steal the show; you don’t have to let anybody else shine (unless you’re singing along to your favourite songs, in which case the entire globe becomes your audience).
Use mindfulness to your advantage. Mindfulness is the skill of paying attention to the moment at hand without passing judgement. When you’re alone yourself, make an effort to be totally present and to observe your thoughts and sensations without being sucked into them. This might make you feel closer to yourself and enable you to appreciate your own company. Additionally, you get to be the only one in your thoughts, so you are spared from dealing with other people’s drama (apart from that inner voice we all have that encourages us to eat one more cookie, we all have that voice).
Interact with people – Being by oneself does not imply being alone. Use social media, phone conversations, or in-person gatherings to make contact with others. Social interactions might help you feel less alone by offering friendship and support. Additionally, you have the freedom to pick the individuals you spend time with, allowing you to avoid those that make you want to run away and eat an entire box of cookies in order to surround yourself with cheerful people.
Self-care is essential for appreciating your own company, so look after yourself. Get adequate sleep, eat appropriately, and exercise to maintain your physical and mental well-being. You may feel more confident and prefer your own company as a result. Additionally, by taking care of yourself, you are not only benefiting yourself but also the person with whom you spend the most time: yourself! Take some time to indulge yourself because you deserve it and your inner cookie monster does too.
In general, learning to like being by yourself requires accepting solitude, engaging in things you enjoy, cultivating awareness, interacting with people, and taking care of oneself.
